Krštenje / Baptism

Krštenje treba najaviti barem tri tjedna unaprijed.

Baptism should be announced at least three weeks in advance. For more information call: 519-252-6871

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word.

Baptism is the first and fundamental sacrament of the Church, the “door” to the communion of Christ. This sacrament cleanses us from original sin as well as from all other sins and gives us consecrated grace, and through it we become children of God, brothers of Christ, members of the Church and heirs of Heaven. He who has not received baptism cannot receive any other sacrament.
Baptismal sponsors are witnesses and guarantors of the faith of the baptized before the Christian community and representatives of the Christian community before the baptized; collaborators and helpers to parents in the Christian upbringing of the baptized, especially the exemplary Christian life.
